Marek read history at Nottingham University and taught for 10 years before changing career.

Having passed his College of Law final examination with honours, he was admitted as a solicitor in 1991 and became a partner in 1995. Marek has experience of general civil litigation and is a specialist in personal injury and clinical negligence and leads Hart Brown's personal injury team, based at Resolution House in Guildford.

Marek is a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence panels, and the AvMA (Action against Medical Accidents) panel, he sits on the Legal Services Commission's Funding Review body and is also a committee member of the Surrey Law Society and a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).

Born in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Marek now lives in Godalming. He loves photography, painting, fell walking and is also a film buff.
